Coney Baloney

While visiting the United States one year, the Soviet writer Maksim Gorky was invited to spend a day at the famous amusement park on Coney Island. Gorki consented and, with his hosts, spent a festive day enjoying the sights and rides. As they left, Gorky was asked for his opinion of the trip. His verdict? "What a sad people you must be!"
