Benigno Aquino: Philippine

After three years in exile, Philippine oppposition leader Benigno Aquino returned to the Philippines in 1983 intent on a coup against tyranical Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos. Sadly the coup did not go exactly as planned. After landing at Manila International Airport, Aquino stepped onto the tarmac and was promptly gunned down by Marcos' troops.
