Courtney Love: Microphone StandIn March 2004, Courtney Love was arrested and charged with assault and reckless endangerment after hitting a man with a microphone stand while performing at an East Village night club in New York. During her show the following evening, Love took the precaution of addressing the audience: "If any of you plan on getting injured," she said, "move outside and get arrested now!"
[Love's performance brought her a New York Film Critics Circle Award and a Golden Globe nomination (both for best supporting actress).]
