BubblemanGarry "Bubbleman" Golightly built an entire "bubbleosophy" out of bubbles, working bubble-related words into his daily speech, and bidding others farewell with: "Bubble bye." "I bubbelieve," he once declared, "that we people are just like bubbles. We are all different shapes, colours and sizes, just like bubbles."
Golightly once carried a bubblemaker on a peace walk in Florida and later made bubbles in some 35 countries. Among the tools which Golightly used to create bubbles more than a dozen feet long? Special bubble formula - and a toilet seat!
[Golightly moved to Seattle in 1995 because of the area's ideal "bubble weather" - cool, calm and cloudy. Moist air (best after a rainstorm) makes "the difference between a 10-foot bubble and a 60-foot bubble," he once explained. "It makes quite an impact seeing a bubble the size of a small elephant float into the air."]
