Robin, LeechIn May 2000, "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" host Robin Leach settled several deceptive advertising complaints (brought by attorneys general in a dozen states) alleging that the "dream vacations" which he was hawking for a travel company were in fact little more than expensive boondoggles.
Asked how "Bahamas cruises" - which were in fact little more than daylong ferry rides - could be construed as "Dream vacations," Leach and company were quick to point out that the ferry's many amenities did include... "Las Vegas-style" bingos.
[Trivia: 103 vacationers once paid for a cruise billed as the "Trip to Nowhere." They got exactly what they paid for: Shortly after leaving Norfolk, Virginia, the ship (ironically named World Discovery) developed generator trouble and had to be hauled back to port.]
