Walter Who?In 1974, Walter Matthau, slated to make a cameo appearance as a drunk in the film Earthquake, found himself "tricked" into assuming a much larger role than he had expected. By way of retaliation, he adopted a much larger screen name than the film's producers had expected: Walter Matuschanskayasky.
[When Matthau formally registered with American Social Security personel in 1937, he fabricated a curious middle name - "Foghorn" - and kept it for the rest of his life.]
