As a token of appreciaton for a generous donation to the Roman Catholic Church by the Knights of Columbus, a recently-appointed Grand Knight was presented with a medallion of Pope John XXIII by Cardinal Spellman. During the ceremony, the nervous Knight dropped the medallion and, bending down to retrieve it, was amused to hear the cardinal's whispered color commentary: "Heads!"
